Standing Water & Canals

All natural or man-made ponds, lakes, reservoirs and canals - from small farm ponds to large reservoirs - are classified as standing water and canals.
There are 4,662 hectares of standing water and canals in Kent (KHS2003) - if condensed this would cover an area a little smaller than Loch Ness in Scotland.
